£1,350 Raised on St Patrick’s Day!

At our recent Friday Stadium session on 17 March there were 87 participants! This is a record since the lockdowns and Stadium closures. One of our regular and long standing participants, Kaleidoscope, came along with the support of local school Knighton Mead Primary. They turned our regular Sunday event into a sponsored ride.

£1,350 was raised! Very well done to everyone who took part. Our huge thanks to the riders and their sponsors for raising such a large donation.

We aim to buy new protective clothing for our session leaders. Our old ones are wearing thin!

“Service users and staff really enjoy attending Wheels for All sessions. they make our Fridays very enjoyable.

Being able to provide these opportunities to our service users is a massive contribution to their well-being. We are so grateful for all the donations we received from friends and families of Kaleidoscope and want to continue to provide these amazing opportunities for our lovely service users”

Chloe Smith – Acting Manager Kaleidoscope Day Service

Thank you, Chloe! Thanks to everyone who took part. We owe you one! Our new kit is being sourced and we will report back to you all.

A very big round of applause from all of us at Leicester Wheels for All for such a substantial donation

(Background note: Kaleidoscope is based on Knighton Lane, close to Saffron Lane Stadium. It provides daycare services for adults with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD). Their new centre opened in May 2021.

Ever since that time, Kaleidoscope groups are regular participants in our all ability cycle sessions. They always bring a sense of fun whenever they join us either at the stadium or on Aylestone Recreation Ground.)

Our cycles coupled for return to the store at the end of Sunday’s great session.
After a hectic and fun sponsored session involving 87 participants – returning our fleet to the store at Saffron Stadium.
